(18.8 welcome date / 24.8 departure date)
Lefteris Moumtzis and Dave De Rose invite music producers, songwriters and instrumentalists alike to join a workshop, which aims to discover and activate the many facets of a music creative's artistic needs and aspirations. The group work will build on a combination of discussion and hands-on exploration of sounds, recording, editing and mixing, as well as composition and lyric writing. The workshop's interactive approach will introduce new notions and conceptual possibilities that will serve to broaden each attendee's perception and artistic focus.
Attention will be given to each participant's background and musical identity as well as their respective desires regarding music making. Musical concepts will bridge a path for turning ideas and improvisations into working material, giving life to inspiring new recordings that can represent each artist, eventually taking form into a finished product.
The workshop will explore all collaboration combinations in the industry e.g. between artist and producer, composer and instrumentalist, artist to label, to name a few, deliberating and consulting along the way. Aided by real life examples from the two instructors' personal experiences as professionals in the field, they will divulge useful tools on how to operate in the various working environments.
