Lefteris Moumtzis and Dave De Rose invite you to a workshop for musicians, composers, lyricists and artists from all arts disciplines.
This year, we step back from the immediacy of creation to focus on its source. The workshop is an invitation to slow down, to listen inward, and to build a more conscious connection to your creative self, finding the deeper reasons we create what we create. Through this process, we will ultimately arrive at the writing and composition of complete songs.
Our time together will be structured firstly to foster deep community and trust. You will be part of a few sustained working groups, temporary creative families with whom you will journey through the week, getting to know each other's artistic souls and building the safety needed to take creative risks together.
Through guided reflection, writing sessions, deep listening, analysis, and periods of stillness, we will explore the why behind your art, the themes, questions and feelings you are called to investigate, and what you actually want to put out in the world. This process is designed to validate where you already are as an artist and empower you to trust your own voice more deeply.
We will also take our work outside in the beautiful nature of Pelion, allowing the landscape to inform what emerges, returning to share and develop our findings through improvisation, collective composition and open sharing, leading to the creation of new songs.
By the end of the week, you will leave not only with a deeper understanding of your artistic voice and the intentions that drive it, but also with a renewed sense of validation and empowerment as an artist.
