Concert: Samir Kurtov + band

Music Village brings this year’s celebration to a close with one of the most remarkable zurna masters of the Balkans: Samir Kurtov. Originally from the Pirin region of Bulgaria, and with deep roots in the Roma tradition of zurna players, Kurtov has brought to the instrument a unique virtuosity, intensity and expressive power. On the final night of the festival, the sound of the zurna will fill Agios Lavrentios with energy, dance and festive excitement — an ideal closing moment for this year’s Music Village and its 20th anniversary!
