Concert: Bad for tourism
Formed as a new collective in 2026, percussionist Yorgos Stavridis, Giorgos Gargalas (beatbox, flute, and electronics), and experimental guitarist/bassist Marius Mathiszik unite through their shared fascination with interlocking rhythms and hypnotic repetition. Drawing inspiration from traditional African music and Gamelan, as well as contemporary electronic subgenres like Broken Beat and Glitch, the trio has crafted their own fresh, experimental, yet highly danceable sound. While their name might seem like an ironic nod to Greece’s obsession with endlessly catering to the tourist industry, BAD FOR TOURISM is, in reality, far from bad for anyone. Instead, they invite the audience to completely lose themselves in their ecstatic, driving pulse.
